21st Century Relationships: Did Donna Haraway's Techno-Feminist Utopia Involve Free Texts on O2?

So it's been a few days since I had my date with the artist, and so far it's all good. However, I haven't actually seen him since then, but he has been texting me every day. This is where I get neurotically obsessed whilst the other person is always more casual about the entire thing. I start thinking; 'ohh, maybe he doesn't like me at all' or 'if he likes me, why hasn't he asked me out again?!'

Sending messages is better than nothing; as my American dating experiment has shown, even messages don't always happen, so I should be positive about the situation. But I don't really like the whole texting malarkey - I would prefer a bit more of the old school dating; leaving voicemails at times when your know the other person won't be able to answer the phone, and hopefully meet a bit more often. Making communication so mobile and accessible seem to almost make actual dating obsolete. Or, perhaps not obsolete, but not as necessary as it is no longer the primary mode of communication between two parties.

I should really stop complaining and over-analyse everything - but I can't help it, I don't have a job yet so what else do I have to do?

Why don't you ring him or text & see if he fancies meeting up? He could be waitng for you to suggest it.

Yes, maybe he's trying to gauge your interest. You could try a casual "do you want to go for a drink tomorrow night?"

People keep telling me to do just that. I am going out tonight, so I think I may, possibly, invite him out :)
